This beautiful newly built stone cottage, nestled amongst the olive groves is a short walk to the small quiet beach of Babakies. Its elevated position offers stunning sea views from the spacious veranda and literally a few steps out your door, you can enjoy a dip in the refreshing, clear waters of the Aegean and sunbathe on this secluded little beach. A five minute boat ride from the small pier takes you to the quaint fishing hamlet of Kalamakia, where one can sample home-cooked cuisine in the waterfront tavernas. The house has 1 bedroom and 1 w/c shower room.

INTERIOR
Entering this traditionally styled cottage, with open wood-beamed ceilings, it has a warm homey atmosphere. Its design is open plan with a fully equipped kitchen including breakfast table and a comfortably furnished living room, all decorated in the traditional island style. Clearly though, its best feature is the stunning view of the sea and neighbouring islands from the windows and veranda. From the living area there are doors leading to a WC/shower room and a bedroom with double bed and sea facing windows.

EXTERIOR
The beautiful cottage is made entirely of local stone and blends perfectly with the nature around. The veranda is furnished with dining table and chairs to enjoy the fabulous views over long, leisurely meals. Steps from the veranda lead to a steep path (75m approx) to the pebbly beach of Vamvakies where you find a small pier, convenient for mooring a rented boat, which is a must to explore the many small beaches and coves along the coastline. The cottage is reached by a narrow foot path approximately 100 meters from the main road.

SURROUNDINGS
Fisherman’s Cottage is bordered by olive groves and from its hillside position, looks out across the sea toward the deserted island of Peristera and the national Marine Park of Greece. It is in close proximity to the small fishing hamlet of Kalamakia so a short boat ride can take you for sumptuous meals at traditional quay side tavernas that specialize in local cuisine. A 10 minute drive towards the South, in a beautiful inlet, lies the charming fishing village of Steni Vala with turquoise blue waters and a waterfront lined with fish tavernas.

There is a small beach at Steni Vala as well as a mini-market for most essentials. A further 20 minute drive from Steni Vala, is the main port town of Patitiri. A 15 minute drive towards the North will take you to one of the best beaches on the island namely, Agios Dimitrios.
