The spacious and traditionally-styled villa Aeolos is one of the first villas built in the area of Raches which has become an upscale neighbourhood of fine houses with fabulous views to the harbour and town. The location of the villa within just a few minutes drive of the picturesque town of Skopelos is a plus for families wanting to be close to all amenities. The villa is built for large parties with extensive outdoor terraces and a large-sized swimming pool. This comfortable villa is casual, yet fitted-out to a high standard. The villa has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom (with shower and tub) and 1 w/c shower room. There is A/C in all bedrooms.

INTERIOR
Entering into the expansive sitting room of Villa Aeolos, the feel is open and casual. The sitting room comprises a large seating area with a cushy sofa, arm chairs and a second grouping of comfortable chairs. There is a centered fireplace with television and music center to the side. The most striking feature of the room is the very traditional terra cotta floors and cathedral, open-beamed wooden ceilings. With windows and double French doors running the length of the wall, the views down to the harbour are seen even from inside. A couple of steps down and separated by a low wall from the sitting room is the large galley-style kitchen. With every cooking utensil one can wish for the house has obviously been a place of great gatherings and family parties. A built-in bench seat backs the sitting room and serves as additional seating to the heavy wooden dining table. The cushions are the same colours and comfy materials as the sitting room sofa. One can imagine sitting and enjoying the harbour views over long meals with friends and family. With full-sized fridge and stove, the equipment is absolutely made for holiday get-togethers. From this main sitting room/kitchen, the bedrooms are separated into two sections. A curtained hallway from the kitchen has a roomy w/c shower room and also leads to a bedroom with double bed.
The décor is artsy and the walls are trimmed with a hand painted olive leaf motif and matching hand-painted furniture. There are full sized, wall to wall wardrobes and the double bed faces toward the French doors that lead to the front and pool terraces. The opposite wing of the house is reached via a doorway at the other side of the sitting room. A long hallway leads to two more bedrooms and an enormous bathroom. The master bedroom is furnished with wall to wall wardrobes and a double bed. There is a television hooked up to DVD/CD player (not hooked to an aerial) as well as double French doors which lead out to the front terrace. The views from the bedroom through the patio are of the hillsides opposite the town and the busy small harbour below. The other bedroom is furnished with bunk beds and a small computer table with a p/c (German software and no internet) which is great for the children to bring their games. The enormous bathroom consists of double washbasins, bidet, shower stall and a full sized bathtub.

EXTERIOR
Sitting all on one level, Villa Aeolos is surrounded by extensive terraces both front and back. The sunny back patio is furnished with a picnic styled table which makes a perfect place for breakfasts and is a great protected area for windy days. The views are of the olive covered hillsides pine clad mountains in the distance. The front terrace is also furnished with a dining table as well as some comfy wicker chairs from which to enjoy the fabulous views down to the harbour. Many leisurely hours will certainly be spent watching the sun and moon rise above the hills opposite and watching the ferries busily plying the waters below. Both terraces are shaded by pergolas with lush and mature greenery which help keep the temperatures cool even in the heat of the day.

The pool area is situated slightly off to the side of the villa and is one of the largest swimming pools on the island. The views from the pool terrace are again of the harbour below and reach all the way across the Stafilos valley to the island of Evia. The gated property of Villa Aeolos is surrounded by groves of olive and fruit trees.

SURROUNDINGS
Villa Aeolos sits on a private property located in the hills just above Skopelos Town where it enjoys fabulous views from the front and back of the property. In less than 10 minutes drive is Skopelos Town with its lively waterfront full of cafes, restaurants and shopping. The nearest beach to the house, Glyfoneri Beach is just a few minutes drive from the villa. Just around the corner from Skopelos port, at the bay Ag. Konstaninos, Glyfoneri has a small selection of traditional tavernas open from mid-May to mid September. The more popular beaches of Stafilos and Velanio are reached in about 15 minute drive from the villa. Given its countryside location, Villa Aeolos is a great place to explore the area by foot and hikers and walkers will find the nature pristine and peaceful.  

SUITABILITY
With 3 bedrooms, private pool and stunning views, Villa Aeolos is perfect for larger families or several couples travelling together. The separated bedrooms offer privacy for all and the private swimming pool will certainly be the favourite spot for the entire party.

SERVICES
Getaways2 provides (through our local representative) cleaning service and linen change twice a week, including arrival cleaning (excluding Sundays). Additional maid service can usually be arranged upon request and at an extra fee.
