Villa Mourtia is a newly built villa situated on the hillsides just above Skopelos Town. With its close proximity to town, fabulous harbour and sea views, this will be a favourite for those who don’t want to spend a lot of time in the car. The private pool and landscaped garden offer privacy and tranquility. Its convenient location though, makes going to town with all its amenities, a breeze. The villa has 3 bedrooms and 2 w/c shower rooms.

INTERIOR
This newly built house is spacious in its common areas and offers fantastic views to the town. Entering into the open plan sitting room with a fireplace centering the room, large windows surround the space. A comfortable seating area with sofas faces toward the television and the dining table sits at the opposite end, near the kitchen. villa mourtia viewThe modern and long galley-type kitchen is well-equipped, including a dish washer and microwave oven. The window at the sink faces out to a landscaped garden and the side door also leads out to the front terrace that runs the length of the house. From here, serving holiday meals is easy and no doubt most of the time spent at this villa will be on the terrace enjoying the sea breezes and views of the busy harbour below. The washing machine is located on this side patio. On the same level, the common w/c shower room is situated behind the kitchen and is equipped with a bathtub. One of the double bedrooms is reached off of the kitchen area and is furnished with a double bed and has a private en-suite w/c shower room. Up the flight of wooden stairs, the second level of the house is built under the eves and slanting roof. One small bedroom with a single bed is suitable for a child and the master bedroom is situated at the front of the house facing toward the views.
A low double bed and wall of wardrobe space complete the furnishings here. The slanted ceiling is covered in wood and although lower at one end, still has enough headroom.
There is also a door which leads to a small balcony with table and chairs for enjoying the views before retiring.

EXTERIOR
One would say that the outdoor spaces of Villa Mourtia are some of its best features. The lengthy front terrace is furnished with a dining table and the large grassy spaces are separated by finished wooden decking around the pool, which gives a lovely impression. The entrance to the pool area is reached by a wooden gate set into a tall privacy wall with low walls surrounding the rest of the property to take full advantage of the views.

SURROUNDINGS
Villa Mourtia is situated in the hills behind the town and is accessed by a narrow, steeply winding road just above the town centre with one tricky turn. The port is reached by car in less than 5 minutes and the walk from the house to the harbour front is approx 15 minutes. The location of the villa in the hillside ensures privacy and is absolutely perfect for those who like to walk. Although no taxi service reaches the house directly, one can be driven to approx 100 meters from the house at the bottom of the hill. The surrounding hillsides are covered with donkey paths which make it ideal for morning and evening strolls through the olive groves.

SUITABILITY
This villa is perfect for both families and couples who want a modern villa in a great location close to bustling Skopelos Town. Just outside of town in the hillsides, the villa offers plenty of privacy for couples. The landscaped grassy areas and private pool will be a hit with the kids as well.

SERVICES
Getaways2 provides (through our local representative) cleaning service and linen change twice a week, including arrival cleaning (excluding Sundays). Additional maid service can usually be arranged upon request and at an extra fee. Baby cots, high chairs and extra beds can also be arranged on request as well as welcome packs, flowers, champagne, etc. Please speak directly with our office staff for prices and availability.

Our representative's Service Office is located on the harbour front in Skopelos Town. A personal villa visit will be made the day following the arrival to answer any individual queries. The staff can help you arrange excursions & car hire, provide tips on what to see and do and let you know of any special events that might be happening during your stay.
