Overview
Mongonissi lies about 5 kms south of Gaios, a five-minute drive by car. It is a pretty wooded bay almost closed off by a small islet reached via a causeway. It is a favourite anchorage with yachtsmen, and popular with visitors for its beauty and for its lovely sandy beach - one of only two sandy beaches on Paxos. Swimming is safe and most enjoyable in these delightful surroundings.
The Dolphin villas are located here, almost at sea-level on a beautiful headland, and could well be the choice for a really quiet and relaxed holiday - no real need to hire a car, with a large private swimming pool, two pebble beaches below the villas and a gorgeous sandy one opposite. Moreover, there is a cheerful taverna that frequently provides impromptu entertainment as well as excellent food.

LayoutThe detached Dolphin Villas comprise a House, three Villas and one Studio. The accommodation is situated in a lovely garden setting, with a magnificent shared swimming pool:

Dolphin House stands alone and is closest to the pool. The three villas form a terrace, with the Studio below. All the properties have private verandas and terraces, with uninterrupted sea views.

Dolphin House
The Dolphin House is reached via a flight of stone steps ornamented with a profusion of pink begonias and has an extensive veranda, big enough for outdoor dining and sunbathing, with both sun and shade. The attractive lounge is comfortably furnished in an appropriate colour scheme of blue and white and is equipped with a ceiling fan. The views are superb from all the verandas. There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin-bedded, and both have air-conditioning. The bright modern kitchen is well-equipped, and has a large fridge/freezer. There are two shower room one of which also houses a washing machine. Side terrace is equipped with a built-in BBQ and together with table and chairs in a pleasantly shady area.

Dolphin Villa
The three separate villas each have their own access and have pretty private verandas below which flowering shrubs grow. The views could hardly be better, with the sparkling sea so close to the houses. Each villa has its own simply but attractively furnished living room with dining table and couch, and the kitchens are modern and well-equipped. There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin, both air-conditioned. The Dolphin Villas have a shower room, shared by the two bedrooms. To one side of each villa there is also a paved patio with a built-in BBQ.

Dolphin Studio
Dolphin Studio offers an open-plan bedroom with kitchen and dining area. The private paved terrace is remarkably big, equipped with sunloungers and with plenty of natural shade if required, while the view is simply breathtaking.

Pool
The private swimming pool (11.6m x 6m) is large enough for everyone to enjoy, even if the villas are full, but with excellent beaches just below the villa and the sandy beach just opposite you will often find the pool all to yourself! Equipped with large umbrellas, sun beds and chairs, and with a cool stone-tiled terrace all round, this is a magical spot for a swim, whether you like a lazy float or a calorie-burning sprint, and moreover it will be hard to take your eyes off the view, that stretches as far as the neighbouring island of Anti-Paxos.

Gardens
The gardens are most attractive, with a mix of olive and pine trees, flowering shrubs and palm trees, all beautifully kept. A private parking area is to be found opposite the villas, and each accommodation has its own private access from this parking area. There is a parking area just opposite the villas and for additional privacy, each villa has its own entrance way from the parking area.
